Turns out the girlfriend of flirty jug-ears Luke really does exist, in real life, and not just 'on the street in your head' as Marge Simpson would say. She kind of looks a bit like him, in a wig, and she's dumped him - on his 21st birthday. Gina Bannister, 17, ended it after seeing her boy canoodle with Bex on Big Brother... a double surprise, as she didn't even know he was going on the show...

She told The Sun: "I don't think Luke and Bex have had sex but they have been caught kissing and that left me in tears. Luke is a great guy, funny, charming and I thought we had something special before he disappeared to go into the house. He told his family about Big Brother but not me -- he lied and said he had to go to London for a few weeks on jury service. Next thing I know he was on my TV -- but I stayed loyal and printed up T-shirts to support him and wore them round my college. Now he is walking all over me by kissing Bex and I've had enough. It's his 21st birthday on Wednesday and his present from me is being dumped because I just can't take the humiliation any more."

It was a romance worthy of Alan Sillitoe. College student Gina met wrestling MC Luke last summer when they were both working in a bread factory in Wigan. Contrary to Luke's claims they've only been seeing each other a couple of months, Gina says they got together in February.

In May he told her he had to go to the capital for a few weeks of jury service -- and Gina believed him. She explained: "He studies politics at university so I knew he would take jury service very seriously." [???! - Ed.]

"Next thing I know it was a Thursday and he was walking into the Big Brother house -- I was speechless. The next day his sister Chloe and I had lots of T-shirts printed up saying 'Support Luke' and I was actually proud -- even if I was lied to.

"But as time has gone on I feel like he's walked all over me. Why didn't he tell me he was going in like he told his family?

"I knew I loved him because I missed him so much but he has acted like he's single and because I'm 17 I'm not allowed to go to the Big Brother eviction nights.

"If I meant that much to him, how come he never talks about me?

"Now to see him kiss Bex has been really difficult. I do not understand why he is doing this to us. He is being so selfish.

"Clearly winning £100,000 is more important to him than being my boyfriend."
