Even Darius couldn't save it. The Pop Idol star is currently playing a dashing Rhett Butler in a new West End production of Gone With the Wind, but it sounds like, perhaps, not for much longer. Sir Trevor Nunn's production has been forced to close its West End run after 10 weeks after ticket sales plummeted and the critics scoffed.

A major problem, and there were a few, was its length - the show started out as a lavish, 4-hour extravaganza but was gradually reduced to nothing. Much like Darius's music career! Ha ha I am funny.

Danesh's final performance as Rhett Butler (opposite Jill Paice's Scarlett O'Hara) is on June 14. So, Pop Idol nostalgists, get yourselves down to the New London Theatre and see if you can pick up a ticket now. You should be able to.
