Now I'm not one for doing surprising comparisons for the sake of it, as you know, but this one really leaped out at me. You young things won't remember, but in his pre-springwatch days, Bill Oddie had a long and respectable career as a comedian. And he was quite a sweet-looking feller. Fresh-faced, bright little eyes. Yes, he was just like Arthur, the latest Oliver to get through to the finals. The implication is, of course, that Arthur might grow up to look like Bill. Still, could be worse. He could look like a young Andrew Lloyd Webber.
