They get around, don't they, these reality show folk? Sinitta has become the latest rent-a-cleb to hit the headlines after taking part in a wife swap for the popular Channel 4 show. Apparently she put on a bit of weight while living the lifestyle of Bruce Jones (Les Battersby), but more interesting is the news that he really does eat fish and chips and drink Guinness.

"They are very different people and it wasn't easy for her," a source told the Sunday Mirror. "She told him to get a grip on his drinking. He is just like Les Battersby. He took her down the pub and had her eating fish and chips and drinking Guinness. Now she is on a strict detox diet."

It's always a disappointment when you see an actor out of character... The dad from The Royal Family; Barbara "Babs" Windsor; that guy who plays Compo in Last of the Summer Wine - frightful luvvies, the lot of 'em. But it doesn't sound like Bruce is doing much air-kissing, does it? Good for him.

The episode airs on March 23 at 8pm on Channel 4.
