Katie Hopkins, as you'll remember, was on The Apprentice, then caught 'romping' with a bloke who wasn't her husband in a field, then on I'm A Celebrity. You might think she's not in the best position to comment on the career prospects of Alan Sugar's young protégés or the way they conduct themselves.

Fortunately for us, Ms Hopkins is untroubled by basic human retraint and has laid into the first Apprentice reject, Nicholas De Lacy Brown...

Hopkins, criticised Brown in her blog in The Sun, describing him as a "weasel-like cretin" with "the most punchable face in the UK".

Brown hit back, saying it was sad that Hopkins had to resort to a media career following her failed one as a businesswoman. He told DS: "I think she should look in the mirror, although if she does, she should be aware that it might crack, which might give her seven years' worse luck than she has had already.

"It must be lovely for her that she has this job where she solely relies on the media now, because she's basically mucked up her career."

Brown fans (there must be one) will be pleased to hear that the trainee barrister wasn't too disappointed about it all: "I didn't actually want to stay in anymore because I was already feeling like it wasn't for me."
