Let your imagination run riot; then sit down and work out very clearly where you want to go with your ideas.

2. BE CONFIDENT

Believe in what you're doing, have confidence in your own abilities -- and don't waver. You won't persuade other people to believe in you if you don't believe in yourself.

3. BE RESULTS-ORIENTATED

Think carefully about what you want, then focus on how to get there. You'd be amazed how many people don't do this.

4. TAKE ACTION

There's no point complaining that 'I had that idea first' -- if you don't do anything about it, it'll always be just an idea.

5. USE YOUR INFLUENCE

You know more people than you think. Use the networks you already have, and don't be afraid to pick up the phone to ask for help or contacts.
