Alan Sugar - no more Mr Nasty
"Sir" Alan Sugar has criticised the BBC for portraying him as "Mr Nasty" in reality TV show The Apprentice. Poised for the fourth series of the show, the entrepreneur has voiced concerns about the way he comes across on TV.
"Like it or not, and I don't like it that much, there's a perception of me just banging the table and shouting," the businessman told the Radio Times, while thumping his fist on the table.
The tycoon is known for giving contestants a hard time after their frankly shocking performance in tasks, but apparently there's more to him than a short temper. He claims to be in a "continual argument" with the show's production team about how he is perceived (claiming to be in a "continual argument" with anyone probably isn't helping his case, is it?)
"The BBC has categorised me as Mr Nasty, so all the humour ends up on the cutting room floor," he thundered, the windows in the next building rattling slightly in their frames.
Aw, cheer up sugar, might never 'appen!
The Apprentice returns on Wednesday 26 March, 9.00-10.00pm BBC ONE
