Well, it's a theory. And a theory that seems to be based on the fact she's been spotted in a pub.

Cerys quit booze and heroin in 2001, after realising that she had to "change to stay alive". She got over it all in rehab, and has been clean as a whistle for the last 6 years, but since being with Bannerman she's been spotted loading multipacks of Guinness into their car after visiting the supermarket. Clearly the behaviour of an out-of-control alcoholic.

Experts from both sides have been wheeled in to add some colour to this story. First there's Marc's jilted former girlfriend, actress Sarah Matravers, who's always happy to discuss Marc's drunkenness. "He and Cerys will probably end up in rehab," she said.

... and then we heard from a friend of the singer, who told Closer magazine: "Marc is the last person she needs in her life at the moment. He's a love rat and has a history of heavy drinking. He's just not good for her. What happens when they have their first big row or split up? That's when it'll be a problem."

Yeah, for them. With friends like these...
