Is there no end to the possible combinations of talent/celebrity/reality shows? In this latest venture, Dancing on Ice will be searching for the best non-celebrity skater in Britain. You hear? This one's about normal people, just like me and you! Well, perhaps not like me. A bit like you, though, probably. I imagine.

The search starts later this month, with the best skater being invited to perform on the Dancing On Ice final show in 2009. Dozens of local ice rinks all around the UK will be filmed in the search, and the footage will be shown on Dancing On Ice: Make Me A Star, beginning on the 26th of January.

The show will be fronted by Holly Willoughby and Torvill and Dean will be doing the talent scouting. An ITV source told The Sun: "We felt it was only fair that the public got to show off their skills - just like our celebs." See, they do think of the little people sometimes. I hope you're grateful.
