Seems just days since the long dark summer of the soul, when we gave up food, drink, friends, personal hygene and just months of our lives to watch the twins, Brian, Chanelle, Ziggy, Jonty et al giggle and make basic geographical errors on national television - but lest we should get too used to clean living, the street-corner dealers of addictive tv are back with a new hook.

Yes, the latest Big Brother spin-off is guaranteed to turn grown adults into gibbering dependents. We're but weeks away from "just trying" the freebase of the small screen that is Celebrity Hijack, already finding ourselves "curious" about a new show, where stars will act as Big Brother for the first time.

Famous faces will take turns to boss around housemates, and stars rumoured to participate include Matt Lucas, outspoken American comic Joan Rivers, TV host Angus Deayton and hairy racing pundit John McCririck.

The show is set to air on E4 in January 3, and the first pictures can be seen overleaf! Honestly, though - we could give it up any time we wanted, right?
