X Factor: Axed Daniel hints at conspiracy

dandb.jpgSince being voted off the show last weekend, Daniel De Bourg has claimed to be the victim of an X Factor conspiracy. I know! Controversy? The X Factor? Surely not!

Dan's song choice was changed 18 hours before Saturday's live show... to 'Build Me Up Buttercup' of all things. He'd originally been planning on singing 'When Doves Cry' by Prince - and already had the whole routine choreographed...

"Suddenly at 12am on Saturday I was given a CD of bloody 'Build Me Up Buttercup'," he told DS.

It's all quite cloak and dagger actually. Daniel doesn't even know whose decision it was to change the song... but he has his suspicions.

"I don't trust Simon because it's his show. I think he may have had something to do with that song choice." And a Cowell-shaped silhouette standing near the only window in a dark tower throws back his head and cackles. Cue thunderclap.
