New Big Brother show: Celebrity Hijack

You know how they cancelled Celebrity Big Brother? Well, they sort of haven't. In a move that makes their motives for the original cancellation even more baffling, E4 have put at very slight spin on the original CBB concept, and moved the celebs to the other side of the cameras.

The new show, snappily titled 'Big Brother's Celebrity Hijack' will give the c'lebs a chance to BE Big Brother, bossing about a group of 18 -21 year olds. Producers have not yet confirmed who will be participating, but are apparently auditioning "this country's exceptional people" with a view to assembling a cast of "prodigies". It's impossible to guess what they might be getting at with that, but if it wasn't for this damn post strike I'm sure I'd already have my invitaton.

A Channel 4 source told The Mirror: "Different celebrities will be invited in for a day to take control of the show. "Lots of stars like BB but can't commit because it lasts so long. This way they can be in it for a day."

Big Brother's Celebrity Hijack will begin in January and will be screened only on E4.
