'Britain's Got Talent' child star gets recording deal

conniet.jpgSix year old Connie Talbot, favourite of this year's Britain's Got Talent, has just signed a six-figure recording deal, according to The People.

The gap-toothed minor has been taken on by the Rainbow Recording Company, and her first album will be released on November 26. Yep, just in time for Christmas.

"We are so proud of her - we knew she could do it," Connie's mother Sharon told The People. "Connie's over the moon and can't wait till the album comes out."

Simon Cowell originally promised to sign Connie to his Sony BMG label, but later decided she was too young for a recording career and changed his mind. It's very difficult to know how to feel about this. On the one hand, she's adorable - and obviously congratulations are in order. On the other, she is six years old for goodness sake - maybe Simon has a point. What do you think? Check out the clip below, I'm just not sure she has any idea what's going on...
