Yay Or Nay Wednesday: Will Strictly Come Dancing tear you away from The X Factor?

scd.jpgThe clash may be a couple of weeks away, but here at AFP we like to plan our Saturday night's well in advance. (Telly-wise, of course; we've forgotten what 'going out' means). At the moment, The X Factor has all of our attention, and well it might - the judges are as entertaining as ever and the deluded contestants just as hilarious.

But this can't last forever, as the equally brilliant Strictly Come Dancing starts on BBC One in the very near future, and you just *know* that they will be on at the same time.Forget Joseph vs. Grease, there was simply no competition there. While Any Dream Will Do had a fabulously subversive host in Graham Norton, and genuine talent on show, Grease Is The Word was plain dull - a very poor cousin. But Strictly vs. X Factor is different.

Both are winners, with high production values, and both will be fighting for our viewership - and our phone votes. Of course, it's easily sorted in a practical sense; just Sky+ or tape one of them, but I'm wondering where your loyalties will *really* lie. For me, it's tougher this year than ever before. Dermot O'Leary means that a less poe-faced element will be brought to the X-Factor, but in the past I've been a Strictly girl at heart.

So what do you think: X-Factor or Strictly Come Dancing: you decide!
