The X Factor: trouble at bootcamp

hotelx.jpgIt's nowt but controversy over at Bootcamp at the moment, if The Mail is to be believed, which it probably isn't. Apparently "black-shirted prefects" patrolled the site, Simon was known as the "fuhrer", and wannabes were denied food and drink and banned from using the toilets.

After one elderly wannabe complained she was told it was "an endurance test". At one point, a furious mother stormed into Cowell's room to hurl abuse. Cowell retreated to his en-suite bathroom and phoned for help. "Simon was cowering" she said. "He should be called Simon Coward." I laughed far too much at that.

Pensioner Joy Philippou said: "It was very regimental - it felt like jail. I felt faint several times. I was so weak. I told staff and all they said was to hold on." She also claims the show is a fix and that staff gave special treatment to those "chosen" to win. No doubt they'll all be blond, tall, kind of aryan looking...
