The X Factor: the heartbreak continues

em.jpgWell? Did you see it? It was one hell of a show on Saturday. Seriously, it was practically a greek tragedy. For starters there was the crushing-disappointment-waiting-to-happen in the form of 17 year old Emma Chawner. She turned up with her biggest fans - mother, father and sister - and although she had a fair crack at Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On, her voice wouldn't go on... she forgot the lyrics half way through. Unsurprisingly, Simon wasn't best impressed.

The Lancashire teenager (who couldn't hold a note) believed she has what it takes after being told by her parents that she's "really good". According to The Mail, Chawner's mother confessed that they have "literally pushed her and pushed her and got her to sing like a star." Oh and in case you're worried about what she's wearing, her dad made it.

When Emma's parents storm into the audition room to confront Cowell he is adamant the fault lies with them. "She's won prizes!" the mother wails, but the judges are unmoved. "People who've won a rosette at a donkey derby don't go on to win the grand national, your daughter cannot sing." Such a way with words, that Simon.

Speaking of horses, a woman claiming to be a jockey looked so unlike one that Louis, Sharon and Dannii collapsed in fits of unprofessional giggles and Simon had to ask them to leave the room.

Meanwhile Raj Singh Dharmu, from Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, has spent his £50,000 savings on his dream. Cowell told the contestant, who gave up his job as a pharmacist to follow his dream: "Raj, go back to the pharmacy and save your money. There is as much chance of you being a pop or rock star as me flying to the moon tomorrow morning for breakfast."
