Lloyd Webber: "I'll be back"

webber.jpg He was nicknamed "The Toad Of Toad Hall" when he first appeared regularly on our screens last year, but over the past 12 months diminutive composer Andrew Lloyd Webber really seems to have slithered his way into our hearts.

That doesn't mean he's not a bit of a bitch though. The Lord recently said that X Factor is only celebrating huge ratings because none of his shows are currently on air. “Last year it was up against Maria for a few weeks. We took a big chunk of their ratings... So of course they are doing well this year — there’s nothing up against them.”

Whatever the truth, Webber revealed he will be back on TV in a few months - with a BBC Christmas special featuring all the Maria and Joseph finalists. He added “I am still talking with the BBC for a show next year. But it won’t be one of my musicals.” There's a rumour that BBC chiefs are trying to decide between My Fair Lady or West Side Story. Not tempted by Wind in the Willows, then?
