Smiley DJ Jo Whiley is turning bad for a new TV show that aims to find the best unsigned band in Britain. The Radio 1 host will help find the next top bands to write/perform their own music for mobileAct unsigned. An article in The Sun describes it as "X Factor with more cred and guitars."

The series will be on T4 and hosted by Alex Zane. Winners will play a festival, go on a nationwide tour, get to support their heroes, and receive a recording contract.

Jo said: "It's going out in the lead up to Christmas. I'm the Sharon Osbourne of the panel - I was horrible to some people and when I woke up in the morning, I felt sick and unclean."
