The Daily Star is adopting BB's Carole as their own. She must feel very safe. According to this story, Star readers were so shocked at the thought of essentially unemployable Carole signing on at the dole that offers of work have been flooding in. She's all set to be the next Jo Whiley, after landing the breakfast slot on Kent station Radio Invicta from this morning.

A spokesman said: “We think her humour and her intelligence would make her a really good presenter.” Far from being offended by the implication she has a face for radio, Carole seems delighted. She is also being lined up as the face of a High Street clothes chain for fuller figures. She said: “I have been blessed with some marvellous opportunities.” Well, that's one name for them.
