Cowell’s manufactured girl group is already at war – just weeks after they were created on the X Factor. The band, aptly named Hope, is made up of six hopefuls who had been rejected in their solo auditions, but later 'rescued' and brought together by Cowell.

Rumour (or The Star) has it that the members of Hope are already clashing badly.

One member, a girl called CeCe, is best friends with Big Brother diva Charley Uchea – and said to be very much like her. The girls are fighting so seriously that it looks possible that the group might split before they even get through Boot Camp.

A source told the Star: “It seemed as though Cowell and the show’s producers had deliberately gone for big personalities so that it made good TV. But there was too much personality in two of the members. They kept clashing on different things, like what clothes the band would wear and what dance routines they would do.”
