Brian usually takes the plaudits when it comes to choosing a village idiot in the Big Brother house. Even though he wet the bed, nearly cut his own ear off and has (apparently) never heard of William Shakespeare, the boy has hidden depths.

With Amanda in tears over the fact that Sam wanted to go in the diary room alone, Brian consoled with a very worldly "She's obviously not just going to request music... You've know her all your life, but you've not known her in the BB house before, you don't know how she feels... She could be feeling something different that she doesn't feel she can tell you. Because you're so happy she could feel isolated... She's got her own things on her mind that she can't say to you right now. Sometimes you just need to do things on your own"
