Later, in the garden, Brian pointed at the moon and said something amazingly romantic. I started to wonder whether the whole thing was scripted for a moment, I really did. "Look Amanda," he said. "That's the same moon that our family and friends are looking up at." Gulp. "And you know, apparently, the moon is supposed to be bigger than the entire universe." The mind boggles. How do you come back from that? Manda manages it, asking sweetly, "What's the universe?"
