So what have you been doing this last hour? C'mon, let's just chat, we're all friends here, it doesn't have to be all BB. Have you been catching up on all things Ugly Betty? Having a little nap? I caught the last twenty-five minutes of the England game (we drew 1-1 against Brazil, thanks very much for asking), and, erm, got a cup of water. Had some chocolate too.

No, it just doesn't work, without BB there's just NOTHING to talk about, is there? Haha. Well, the deafening silence is about to be filled again, because they're about to throw in a guy. Gawd bless him he's going to be eaten alive. (Oh, and yes, I realise I've been misspelling Carole... heartfelt apologies.) Hop over the cut for all the updates, now in chronological order for your convenience.

10.30pm - These new Channel 4 adverts with the joke endings are a bit annoying aren't they? I used to quite like them... Anyway.

10.31pm - "It's raining man!" Yes, you've done that one already, Davina. STOP WITH THE PUNS ALREADY.

10.32pm - The last installment of yesterday's action. Tracey's in the Diary Room, and is needing a man to talk to - "it's all getting a bit girly in here" she says. It seems she's genuinely feeling a bit isolated, and BB's is in full comforting mode. It won't last.

10.39pm - Laura's next into the Diary Room (not the Dairy Room, as I wrote at first) and she thinks things are going pretty swimmingly, but can't understand why people are on a downer already. I think she's probably eternally cheery.

10.45pm - It's time for the main event! Let's meet the MAN. He's Ziggy, 26, a music producer who thinks he's polite, attentive and charming. Aw! Well, it'd be a change for a BB man. Do you remember his boyband Northern Line? No, me neither... He seems too nice for all of this, but we'll see...

10.47pm - Looking good in a suit and skinny tie as he enters, and he's received with cheers. Davina reckons he's got a bit of the Beckham about him (hmmm, maybe), and so thinks he should hook up with Posh mark II.

10.49pm - Ultra-sonic screams of excitement.

10.50pm - "You're not German, are you?" Haha, I missed who said that, but it's brilliant.

10.52pm - Ziggy's in the Diary Room, and is loving that he's the first man in the house - wants to lock the doors, the sly dog. Now he's got a letter from BB, and is off to read it to the housemates...

10.54pm - The letter says that next week, only Ziggy will nominate - "I and I alone will decide who will face the public vote". Oh they do make it dramatic, don't they?

10.56pm - So that's it. An ex-boyband member with Beckham hair circa. 1997. The Dollies will be fighting over him, no doubt - but will he have a personality to win over the viewers too? YOU DECIDE! (That felt good...)
