Poor old Sam and Amanda. When you’re that small and giddy, you must imagine that a birthday inside the Big Brother house would top your wildest dreams. How different reality is.

After housemates failed the staying awake task, it started to dawn on them that the twins’ birthday party might be something of a damp squib, what with the lack of… well… everything!

No booze, no food, no cake, no music and a complete lack of party atmosphere meant turning 19 wasn’t quite as fun as the twins had hoped. All kinds of begging ensued to no avail – BB wasn’t budging. But did that stop the eternally sunshiny pair? Did it heck.

With no entertainment on offer, the twins started singing Christmas songs (why??) and soon geed up the rest of the house into some old fashioned line dancing fun. Maybe the best things in life really are free. Then again, I’m sure Sam and Amanda wouldn’t have said no to champagne, a disco and some big pressies. All pink, of course…
