3pm update: Charley builds bridges

The last of Lesley's diary posts is now online. Shame they're not continuing, I actually quite enjoyed them.
Anticipation is building for eviction night. The housemates are scrubbing themselves up. Charley -- who has been quieter than usual -- has had a bath.
Nicky has been a lot chirpier today; I think she is finally starting to get the hang of what's going on in the house. The special meal last night has livened everyone up. A lot of the grumpiness, I'd say, was down to hunger.
Nicky's attempt at giving up smoking also seems to be going well (2 days now!). I wonder if Big Brother would, if asked, provide her with patches. Great timing for the smoking ban.
Charley has been flitting around the housemates like some sort of grumpy fairy, trying to re-build allies that have been lost along the way. Earlier, she chatted to Seány and Gerry about her getting into arguments. Gerry advised that sometimes standing up for yourself isn't always the best option. Good advice.
Then, she wandered over to Ziggy, who is, apparently, "The one I relate to most in the house". Ziggy tried to advise her on keeping her head down, which fell on predictably deaf ears. That said, this seems to be a bit of a turning point for Charley. The true test will come when another argument kicks off. Can Charley keep a lid on her temper?
I hope not (hee hee hee!).
Laura really should get dressed. That leopard print dressing gown is stupid enough in the morning, let alone at two in the afternoon. Gerry is no better.
Slobs, the lot of 'em.
