Good morning, ladies and gents, and welcome to Day 29.

It will, I think, be a most dramatic day for our housemates.

Yesterday evening it was announced that Carole, Billi and Tracey are up for eviction on Friday.

Here comes the controversy: Nicky and Charley would have been up for eviction as well, but Big Brother dismissed the nominations of Charley and Billi after they discussed their choices with the housemates.

Big Brother broke its own rule here about discussing nominations as Nicky quickly realised that Charley or Billi definitely nominated her. Turns out it was Billi who did the deed.

The prize for best nomination reason of the week goes to Charley for why she nominated Billi: "He's so sneaky, his eyes are so sneaky...spooky motherfucker!"

And as they say: it never rains but it pours. Or something. Have I got that saying right? Dunno. Anyway, the other bit of bad news Big Brother slapped on the housemates yesterday evening was that not only do they not have a luxury food budget, but they don't even have any budget. Instead, they must eat Oliver Twist-style slop.

Remember folks, today is also Tony Blair's last day as our Prime Minister. From this afteroon, we'll be living under a Gordon Brown dictatorship government. You can follow all the day's historic proceedings over on BBC News.

I can only imagine the emotions going through Tony's head right now. Disappointment? Confusion? Regret, maybe? Well, however he feels, it's of no use. There's nothing he can do... Charley is in for another week. Sigh.
