I was sat on the edge of my sofa as Big Brother's Big Mouth returned last night, genuinely undecided as to whether Moyles would manage to pull out all the stops and lay the ghost of original host Russell Brand to rest. After a cracking opening show with some of the most... well, 'interesting' housemates ever, would the BBBM ship fall flat without Brand's Captain Jack at the helm?

Well, whatever you thought of Moyles' first crack last night, it certainly came in with all guns blazing. The rowdy audience, joined by Gareth Gates and Coleen Nolan, ("What a coup for the first show, what a coup", Moyles joked at one point) made sure the content was kept pretty close to the bone.

When Coleen chose to censor herself, Moyles prompted her to reveal the swearword she would have used... which she duly did. Good one Moyles. It spurred the audience on to shout out comments like "Carole has a beard" and "Tracey could be a man" during a discussion about the all-female first week. Moyles, visibly panicking, countered with: "Please, it's the first show, I want to try and at least make it to tomorrow". You can find out whether he does at 11pm tonight on E4.
